Brittany Fischer Concludes Term as CHAIRE's First Program Coordinator

July 26, 2021

After serving as Program Coordinator for CHAIRE for three years, Brittany Fischer is wrapping up her time in this position to continue pursuing her PhD in the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine within the College of Veterinary Medicine and remaining engaged with our center as a CHAIRE Graduate Student. As the first Program Coordinator, Brittany has been a key figure in assisting with CHAIRE's development and progress to-date, facilitating many of CHAIRE's new programs and planning both of CHAIRE's very successful previous Annual Fundraisers. Brittany's time in CHAIRE has been especially impressive given that in addition to serving in the role of Program Coordinator, Brittany has also been a full-time graduate student for the duration of her time in this position, first as a masters' student working with CHAIRE Co-Director Dr. Kelly George, and then beginning her PhD with CHAIRE Member Dr. Mark Flint.

"It has been a pleasure to be part of something as new and exciting as CHAIRE and to watch us grow over time."             -Brittany Fischer, M.S.

When asked about her experience in this role, Brittany said "It has been an honor to work for CHAIRE over the last three years as the first Program Coordinator. I have enjoyed the opportunity to help our center accomplish our goals and advance our mission through research, education, and outreach. It has been a pleasure to be part of something as new and exciting as CHAIRE and to watch us grow over my time in this position. I especially want to thank Drs. George and Parker for their support and look forward to continuing to engage with CHAIRE as a graduate student."

"Brittany's creativity, work ethic, and professionalism have catapulted CHAIRE from an idea to the successful center we see today."  - Dr. Kelly George

In reflecting on her time working with Brittany the last three years, CHAIRE Co-Director Dr. Kelly George said, "Wow! How do you sum up everything Brittany has meant to CHAIRE! Brittany has been truly instrumental in the success of CHAIRE. Her creativity, work ethic, and professionalism have catapulted CHAIRE from an idea to the successful center we see today. I am so excited for Brittany in her pursuit of her PhD, and I look forward to our continued working relationship."
