CHAIRE & CBI Partner for NeuroNights Workshop

Oct. 7, 2020

On Thursday October 1st CHAIRE partnered with the Chronic Brain Injury Program for their weekly NeuroNights Workshop. This month sessions are focusing on companion and support animals. Dr. Kelly George, Brittany Fischer, Kirsten Nickles, and Brian Hood led the first workshop which included cats, dogs, dwarf hamsters, beef cows, ducks and quail. This first workshop highlighted how human-animal interactions are important components of wellness. CHAIRE's goal for this exciting evening was to demonstrate the many ways we can interact with a multitude of species in different settings to engage with brain injury survivors through collaborations in the future.
