New CHAIRE Program Coordinator Announcement

July 8, 2021

Please help us welcome Madeline Winans as the new CHAIRE Program Coordinator! Madeline will be taking over for Brittany over the next month as Brittany continues to pursue her PhD in the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine within the College of Veterinary Medicine and remains engaged with our center as a CHAIRE Graduate Student.

Madeline Winans graduated from The Ohio State University in 2019 with a B.S. in Zoology, and she recently completed her Master of Science in the Department of Animal Sciences at OSU. Madeline’s master’s research focused on evaluating the effect of transport and relocation on the welfare of the California sea lions at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Throughout her education, Madeline has also gained professional experience working with zoological institutions, in areas of animal care and welfare, education, and outreach. Madeline has been involved with CHAIRE in various ways since its inception and looks forward to continuing to support CHAIRE’s mission in this new role.

We are confident that Madeline will excel in this role and continue to help CHAIRE accomplish our goals through research, education, and outreach. Congratulations Madeline!
