Coached by Dr. Jess Pempek and Zach England, the award-winning OSU Animal Welfare Judging Team competes each year in the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)'s Intercollegiate Animal Welfare Judging/Assessment Contest. The contest provides undergraduate, graduate, and veterinary students the opportunity to learn from animal welfare experts and develop skills in scientific evaluation of welfare, sound logic and reasoning, and effective communication.
