Shannon Kelley graduated in Spring 2019 from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Animal Science-Bioscience. As an undergraduate, her research experience revolved around the animal welfare and behavior of various avian species. Shannon also received her Master's degree in Animal Sciences in 2021 working with Dr. Kim Cole as a CHAIRE graduate student. Her research examined the effect of human-animal interactions on the mental health and well-being of college students as well as the effect students may have on the various animals commonly used within animal-assisted therapies. Shannon is currently pursuing a veterinary degree within the College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University.
