Biography: 

Zach graduated from The Ohio State University in May of 2019 with a B.S. in Animal Sciences and a minor in both Psychology as well as Human-Animal Interactions. During his undergraduate career, he was CHAIRE Student Researcher and also had the opportunity to travel to New Zealand, Spain, and Ireland on Human-Animal Interactions education abroad programs. Zach also completed his M.S. in Animal Sciences in 2021 as a CHAIRE Graduate Student working with Dr. Kelly George. His research focus was zoological animal welfare. Currently, Zach is a Research Associate in the Department of Animal Sciences working with Dr. Jessica Pempek. Zach assists with research in calf welfare, teaching, and extension.
